Relaxation

This type of massage is a smooth, gentle flowing style that promotes relaxation, relieves muscle tension, and improves circulation and range of motion.

Trigger Point

Trigger point therapy (TPR) uses broad flowing strokes combined with deeper, more specific pressure and static holds. This type of massage focuses on relieving trigger points, which are areas of tightness within the muscle tissue that can cause pain in other parts of the body. TPR is best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, or a specific condition.

Connective Tissue / Myofascial Release

The techniques used in connective tissue massage and myofascial release aim to release fascial restrictions or adhesions (often caused by trauma, inflammatory response, and surgical procedures) to eliminate pain and restore motion. Due to the piezoelectric phenomenon, gentle pressure applied slowly will allow the fascia to become viscous and elongate. These techniques use little-to-no lubrication to enable a controlled and sustained pressure.

 Energy Work / Polarity

This treatment is intended to restore a balanced distribution of the body’s energy. Polarity techniques involve holding different points of the body to remove blockages and encourage the energy to rebalance its own flow. This treatment may be done fully-clothed on the massage table. Sessions may be 30 - 60 minutes.
